Des Griggs

After a number of years as a professional student and various other adventures, Des finally entered the job market and shortly thereafter joined a start-up in South Africa called MTN. Planning and optimising radio networks afforded him the opportunity to travel to a number of exotic African destinations. Over the course of a decade he was instrumental in commercialising a number of internal software developments.

In 2007 Des co-founded Rorotika Technologies and became the CTO. The core product was “Dynamic Tariffing” which enabled mobile network operators to optimise network resources, revenue and customer experience. In 2009 he moved to Australia and co-founded Digitata where he went on to become the COO. Digitata ultimately acquired Rorotika Technologies. At one point over 1% of everyone on the planet accessed Digitata software, but sitting behind the mobile network operator the company was largely unheard of.

2017 found Des back in South Africa pursuing a new dream called enabled.WORLD. This start-up was unlike any of the others he had worked on, being largely philanthropic in nature. In 2019 a full-time core team finally came together and the project gained momentum. Des is currently the Project Lead and having a WORLD of fun.
