Hilton Goodhead

Market Developent

Hilton has an MSc in Electronic Engineering and has spent 34 years in the telecoms industry; first at the CSIR, developing a radio propagation prediction tool for planning radio networks, then joining MTN at its inception to lead the Radio Network Planning and Optimisation department for 13 years. Apart from working on the South African network, Hilton was involved in the license bid stage of many of MTN’s networks in Africa and was Network Project Lead for the roll out of MTN Irancell in Iran. He was co-founder of Rorotika Technologies (CEO) and Digitata.

A co-founder of enabled.WORLD, Hilton is currently negotiating with mobile operators in Southern Africa in order to integrate the WORLD platform in these networks. He is also actively engaged in securing funding for the project.

In what little spare time remains, Hilton is involved in Scout training and is (slowly) building a set of electronic test and measurement equipment to be used to bring new life to antique valve radios. He is also keen on camping, hiking and long-distance cycling.
