Enabled WORLD applications

This Privacy Policy governs your use of software applications created by Enabled WORLD Ltd (“WORLD”), namely:

myWORLD is an access point to a secure repository of general, validated and verified user information. WORLD will not expose or share this information without a user’s consent (except where legally required to do so). Users may associate information with various Personas to simplify the organisation and sharing of information.

chatWORLD is an access point to a community discussion platform providing one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-one and many-to-many communication that may be organised in various dimensions such as topic and location. Content is provided and consumed by users of the platform, which is accessible from various cross technology clients such as apps, web pages and embedded agents.

WORLDwallet is an access point to various digital and/or virtual currencies. These currencies may be private, implying accessible by invitation only, or public. Both viewing of funds in a wallet and transferring of funds between wallets, require user authentication.

The WORLD app provides access to the functionality of the applications listed above, namely myWORLD, chatWORLD, etc, from a single application.

The applications above are collectively referred to as the “Applications”.

What information do the Applications obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information

WORLD secures the user information you provide when you download and register the Applications. Provision of any personal information is optional; however, some features of the Applications may not be accessible without providing the requested information. The provision of personal information is intended to enhance your experience with the Application.

When you register with WORLD and use the Applications, you generally provide:
(a) WORLD ID (user name), password, your name, email address, and other registration information;
(b) information relating to your contacts and interests;
(c) information you provide WORLD when you contact us for help;
(d) information you enter into our system when using the Applications.

We may also use the information to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and promotional material (if you have opted in for the latter).

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, the Applications may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Applications.

Do the Applications collect precise real time location information of the device?

When you use the Applications, GPS technology (or other similar technology) may be used to determine your current location in order to determine content, communities and discussions that are geospatially relevant. WORLD will not share your current location with other users or partners without your express consent.

If you do not want WORLD to use your location for the purposes set forth above, you will need to turn off the location services for the mobile Applications. This is typically located in your account settings or in your mobile phone settings or from within the Applications themselves.

Do third parties have access to information obtained by the Applications?

WORLD will only share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. WORLD may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

as required by law, so as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
with our trusted Service Providers who work on our behalf on the understanding that they do not have independent use of the information we disclose to them, and who have agreed to adhere to the conditions set forth in this privacy statement.

If WORLD is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a controlling portion of its assets, you will be notified via a prominent notice on our Web site, and any other direct electronic communication mechanisms that may be at our disposal, of any change in ownership or use of your information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your information.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by the Applications by simply uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. You can also request to opt-out via email by contacting legal@enabled.world.

Data Retention Policy, Managing your information

WORLD will retain User Provided data and Automatically Collected information for as long as you use the Applications and for a period of time thereafter as may be required by law.

Children

WORLD will not use the Applications to knowingly solicit data from, or market to, children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided WORLD with information without their consent, he or she should contact us via email at legal@enabled.world.

Security

Safeguarding the confidentiality of your information is paramount to WORLD. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. We limit access to this information to authorized personnel who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Applications. Please be aware that, although WORLD takes all reasonable security measures, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. WORLD will endeavour to notify you of material changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here and contacting you via any direct electronic communication mechanisms that may be at our disposal. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes, as continued use of the Applications is deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Applications, you are consenting to the terms and conditions as set forth in this Privacy Policy now, and as may be amended in the future.
